The Nursing Assistant provides basic physical care and assists patients with nutritional needs and daily activities. They also maintain a safe environment and perform clinical procedures under the supervision of nursing staff.

full time nights NA; 3 11.75 hours shifts per week; every third weekend requirement; holidays required The Nurse Assistant assists the nursing staff by performing selected nursing procedures and routine duties in caring for patients. All functions must be within the scope of training and instruction received and are under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Principal

Duties and Responsibilities

The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time. 1.Provides basic physical care 2.Assists the patient with meeting nutritional needs 3.Assists patients with activity as designated 4.Maintains a safe environment for the patient according to policy and procedure 5.Performs and documents appropriate procedures according to hospital policy and procedure. 6.Participates in responsibilities of the unit. Minimum Education, Training and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. CNA preferred.
