Job Overview This position is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) and the dental hygienist(s) in the direct provision of primary care dental services to patients at the clinic.
The Registered Dental Assistant is also responsible for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments, supplies, and for proper infection control of all areas involving patient care.
Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED certificate required.
Credentialed as a valid licensed Registered Dental Assistant with the following certifications: Coronal polishing / X-Rays and Infection control.
Pit and Fissure Sealants certification will be required within 60 days after the date of hire.
Valid CA Driver's License, if assigned to Mobile Units, required.
Successful completion of background DOJ/FBI clearance within 30 days of hire, if assigned to Mobile Units, is required.
Bilingual English/Spanish also required.
A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
