About the role

The Personal Care Attendant provides psychological, physical, and emotional support to seniors within the PACE program. Responsibilities include maintaining inventory, setting up care environments, and delivering care in homes, clinics, or during transportation.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Practice Hours

  • Monday –
  • Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. No Weekends, Evenings, or Holidays Respond to participant needs and direct the inquiry to the appropriate party. Maintain inventory supplies, set-up of the care environment, and physically assist PACE participants. Deliver care in multiple settings, including in the home, the day center, the clinic or in transportation. For insurability requirements, all candidates must be over the age of 23.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED- Required 1 Year- Prior experience working with frail/elderly population- Required 1 Year- Healthcare experience as a patient care technician or similar position- Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- State Licensing Board - Required OR Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) - Required OR Franciscan Patient Care Assistant Program (FPCAP) - Required TRAVEL IS REQUIRED: Up to 75% EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER It is the policy of Franciscan Alliance to provide equal employment to its employees and qualified applicants for employment as otherwise required by an applicable local, state or Federal law. Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience working with the elderly. A valid BLS certification and a CNA, HUC, or FPCAP certification are required.
