The Emergency Department Technician provides direct supportive care to patients by performing ordered interventions and procedures. They are also responsible for departmental readiness, including stocking supplies and verifying the operation of patient care equipment.
Overview JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Emergency Department director manager, charge nurse, and staff nurses this position requires the ability to be self-directed and encompasses providing direct supportive care to patients by performing designated and/or ordered interventions and procedures within the scope of practice. Additionally, this position incorporates departmental readiness duties including but not limited to stocking, QI testing, verification of operational patient care apparatuses (Suction, O2, etc.).
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Computer, Monitoring Equipment, POC Testing Equipment.

Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job. PAY RANGE $23.00 - $31.82 The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience in an emergency or acute care setting. A current EMT or CNA certification and an American Heart Association BLS card are required.
