Provides nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician while maintaining clinical standards and patient safety. Supports department functionality by managing supplies, equipment maintenance, and coordinating patient care plans.
Provides nursing care, under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or physician, in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
Integrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers.
Exercises sound judgment, and developed clinical skills to implement the patient's plan of care based on the diagnosis in a timely manner.
Supports the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.
May also be responsible for performing specific procedures and/or orient other staff to the department.
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing.
