What You'll Be Doing As our Veterinary Assistant, you are the backbone of our treatment floor. You’ll work side-by-side with our doctors and technicians to deliver low-stress, compassionate care.

  • Care: Restrain dogs and cats using gentle, low-stress handling techniques for exams, blood draws, and diagnostics (peanut butter and lick mats are your best friends!).

  • Communication: Educate pet parents on low-stress vet visits, explain discharge instructions, and share reassuring smiles.

  • Operations: Keep treatment areas, surgical suites, and exam rooms sparkling clean, stocked, and ready for action.

  • Boosting: Expertly dispense forehead scratches, treat rewards, and belly rubs to our patients (and occasional snacks to the team). What We’re Looking For (Requirements) Because our floor moves fast, we are looking for someone with prior experience on the treatment floor who can jump right in with confidence!
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of hands-on clinical experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a small animal practice.

  • Philosophy: Experience or active practice with Fear Free or low-stress handling techniques (Fear Free Certification is a major bonus, but a commitment to the philosophy is a must!).
