The Housekeeping Staff plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. This position ensures that all assigned areas, including patient rooms, common areas, and facility grounds, meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The role contributes directly to the overall health and comfort of the community by preventing the spread of infection and promoting a pleasant atmosphere. Housekeeping Staff will collaborate closely with other departments to support operational efficiency and respond promptly to cleaning needs. Ultimately, this position is essential in upholding the facility’s reputation for excellence in care and hospitality.
Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain cleanliness of waste collection points in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages to the housekeeping supervisor promptly.
Follow infection control procedures rigorously to minimize the risk of contamination and maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring and restocking cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
Collaborate with nursing and administrative staff to accommodate special cleaning requests or urgent needs.
Adhere to all facility policies, including confidentiality, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, preferably in a healthcare setting. Applicants should possess the physical capability to perform cleaning tasks and have a basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and infection control protocols.
