The RN Circulator is responsible for delivering and documenting patient care during the intra-operative period while ensuring a sterile and safe surgical environment. They collaborate with the surgical team to manage orthopedic and spine procedures, monitor patient vitals, and facilitate efficient room turnover.
The Operating Room Circulator RN is responsible for the delivery and documentation of patient care during the intra-operative period. The RN will assess and address patients' physiological and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans. This position requires expertise in orthopedic and spine surgeries, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards of practice for perioperative nursing. The RN will facilitate collaboration with the surgical team, advocate for patient safety, and uphold high standards of care.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state.
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
CNOR certification a plus.
Duties: and Responsibilities:
• Act as a patient advocate, upholding patient rights and addressing unique care needs across all age groups.
• Engage in continuing education and maintain professional competency.
Requires standing for extended periods, lifting equipment, and assisting with patient positioning.
Exposure to a moderate noise level and potential biohazards.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
ASC operating hours: Monday through Friday (no weekends, no on-call).
Observance of major holidays.
