Overview UnityPoint Clinic CMA/LPN/RN Family Medicine Clinic Indianola, IA Monday 7:45AM-6PM, Tues/Wed/Fri 7:45AM-5PM, Thursday 7:45AM-12PM Full-time + benefits We are seeking a compassionate and team-oriented clinical professional to join our Family Medicine team in Indianola, Iowa.

This opportunity is open to Certified Medical Assistants (CMA), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), or Registered Nurses (RN) who are passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.

In this role, you will support patients of all ages by assisting with examinations, treatments, preventive care, and patient education while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our community.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications

Valid and current licensure/certification in one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN) – Active/Unencumbered RN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Active/Unencumbered LPN license in state of practice or compact license including state of practice. OR Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate’s Degree) required. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC is a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active, unencumbered license as an RN or LPN, or be a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with current certification. Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
