Responsibilities

Position Overview: The Secretary Technician performs the duties of both a Nurse Tech and Unit Secretary as needed in support of the department’s operations. Provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under direction of Licensed Nurse and Medical Staff. Assists with unit staffing, recording information in the medical records, and ensuring that the unit’s reporting and documentation of information be completed in a professional and timely manner.

High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) One (1) year experience performing Nursing/Patient Care Assistant duties in an acute care setting or skilled nursing facility One (1) year experience performing Administrative/Unit Secretarial duties in an acute care setting or skilled nursing facility Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in nursing or administrative duties within an acute care setting. A current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required for the position.
