The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating patients with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments. They will develop and implement rehabilitative plans and provide education to patients to improve their functional outcomes.
Staff Occupational Therapist (OTD, OTR) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, treatment, education, planning, utilization of exercises including administering occupational therapy modalities, treatment, and rehabilitative procedures for individuals limited by physical injury or illness, a dysfunctional condition, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, a developmental or learning disability whether due to trauma, illness, or condition present at birth. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. Candidates must hold a Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy and possess a current Texas state license. Additionally, a current BLCS certification in accordance with AHA standards is required.
