Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced PET Tech.

This position requires on-site work at multiple locations and may be scheduled in Boulder, Thorton or Denver.

This position is eligible for mileage reimbursement in accordance with company policy.

Salary Range

$35.00-55.00 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offers the following benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; health savings account; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance; long-term disability insurance, Employee Assistance Program; PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and employee paid critical illness and accident insurance

Responsibilities

  • Performs PET scan procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceutical, setup of protocol, reconstruction and development of images, coordination of image on report function and archiving of images.
  • Assist in scheduling procedures and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files.
  • Collects clinical data for patient follow-up and development of teaching and educational information.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelors degree in nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program.
  • Minimum three to five years experience in nuclear medicine and/or previous PET experience.
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable.
  • PET Technologist with (ARRT) (R) (N) (CT) or NMTCB (CT) highly desirable.
  • Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Work may require sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies.
  • Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, operate a calculator, telephone, copier and other such office equipment.
  • All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.

Requirements

Requires an associate or bachelor degree in nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program. Candidates must have three to five years of experience and hold CNMT or ARRT(N) certification.
