The Speech Language Pathologist provides speech and language evaluations and treatments for a designated group of patients within a hospital setting. They also assist in orienting staff and students and may assume supervisory duties when necessary.
Functions under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Physical Medicine. Assumes the responsibility and accountability for a designated group of patients and provides speech and language evaluations and treatments in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures, maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care. The speech pathologist/therapist may also be assigned to orient staff and students. They may also assume the duties and responsibility of the supervisor in the absence of that individual.
