About the role

The Nurse Practitioner provides medical services under physician supervision, including diagnosing and treating injuries and diseases. They also contribute to clinical efficiency by identifying patient care issues and counseling patients on treatment plans.

Description Ascent Emergency Medical Center is continuously growing our team of compassionate and experienced emergency medical doctors, nurses, technicians, and support staff and we are currently looking to hire a part-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of professionals!!

Knowledge of information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities to include symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures.

Provides medical services under the supervision of a physician.

Contributes to a physician’s efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues.

Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions.

Skill in the use of computers and related software applications.

Verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, critical thinking and complex problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests.

Ability to counsel patients concerning medical and psychological/psychiatric conditions, treatment plans, and behavior modification.

Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.

Requirements: Experience: >6 months

Education: Master's degree or higher

Required Licenses or Certifications: Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner ACLS PALS State Medical License DEA License
