As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will: As delegated by a licensed nurse, performs essential duties appropriate to role while assisting with basic to complex patient care needs. Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Assists delegated care team in keeping detailed records, clear communication and working with patients and families. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be assigned to function in either the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or Nursing Assistant role. Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
Required: Current licensure by the Maryland State Board for Certified Nursing Assistant High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Diploma may be substituted with 4 years of relevant CNA experience. BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
Candidates must hold a current Maryland State Board certification as a Nursing Assistant and possess a BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A high school diploma or GED is required, though four years of relevant experience may be substituted.
