About the role

The Anesthesia Technician supports the surgical team by preparing anesthesia machines, stocking carts, and assisting with patient positioning and monitoring during procedures. Postoperatively, they are responsible for cleaning equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring the operational efficiency of the surgery center.

Description A newly developing multi-specialty Surgery Center in Camp Hill, PA, is seeking experienced Anesthesia Technician. The Anesthesia technician supports the team across all settings by ensuring stocked carts and prepared machines, troubleshooting equipment, and setting up hemodynamic monitors. Responsibilities include assisting in patient positioning, providing blood collection materials, and aiding in IV and arterial line management during surgeries. Postoperative, tasks include cleaning equipment, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and performing additional duties as directed to maintain operational efficiency.

Essential functions

Assist Anesthesia team during procedures, including Inpatient, PACU, and OR. Ensure anesthesia carts are stocked and machines are prepared between surgeries; replace gas tanks as needed. Retrieve and prepare specialized anesthesia supplies as requested preoperatively. Set up hemodynamic monitoring equipment such as arterial and pulmonary artery catheters, EKG, and pulse oximeters. Ensure readiness of anesthesia machine and troubleshoot equipment issues as required. Assist in patient positioning and provide disposable materials for blood collection during surgeries. Assist with setup of equipment for blood product delivery and autotransfusion. Aid in securing IVs, arterial lines, and assist Anesthesia during intubation and extubation procedures. Clean and maintain anesthesia equipment postoperatively; manage inventory and ordering of anesthesia supplies. Perform additional tasks as directed, including disinfection of equipment, running errands, and troubleshooting equipment issues under clinical engineering guidance. All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Previous experience as Anesthesia Technician, Medical Assistant or LPN preferred. BLS certification and ACLS preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year experience working in a surgical suite setting. WORK SCHEDULE We offer Monday – Friday all day shift with no weekends, holidays, or on call.

Requirements

Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a surgical suite setting. Previous experience as an Anesthesia Technician, Medical Assistant, or LPN is preferred, along with BLS and ACLS certifications.
