The technologist will perform vascular and general ultrasound examinations to assist providers in diagnosis and treatment. They are also responsible for maintaining imaging equipment and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures.

Our mission at Bethany Medical is to provide excellent care through a Multi-Specialty approach, from prevention to intervention of potentially life-threatening health problems.

The selected Full Time Vascular/General Ultrasound will perform ultrasonic examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the Provider.

Performs various technical procedures requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative when applying ultrasound techniques for radiologic diagnosis.

Responsible for the safety and comfort of all patients undergoing ultrasound procedures.

Ensure that all procedures have been appropriately ordered with patient identification obtained before performing the procedure.

Perform all procedures according to departmental protocol.

Will need to work independently.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Dedicated to serving the BMC’s patients with a professional and respectful demeanor.

Perform vascular and/or general testing on patients.

Maintain the imaging equipment.

Order supplies needed for his/her area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a full-time position working in the Triad North Carolina area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ARRT, ARDMS and/or RVT Registration or registry available Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification preferred.

Current BLS required.

At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting performing ultrasound strongly preferred.

Persuasive communication skills; verbal and written.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse patient population.

Professional aptitude, presentation, and demeanor.

Requirements

Candidates must hold ARRT, ARDMS, or RVT registration and possess current BLS certification. At least two years of experience in a hospital or outpatient clinical setting is strongly preferred.
