The Cath Lab RN performs diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring. They are responsible for assisting with various implants and studies while maintaining hemodynamic monitoring standards.

The Cardiac Catheterization RN is a registered nurse with advanced training and knowledge of cardiovascular and peripheral vascular system. A Cath Lab nurse performs a variety of duties may include but not limited to; circulating, scrubbing and monitoring cases for diagnostic and interventional procedures for cardiac, carotid, peripheral, permanent and temporary pacemakers, ICD implants, EP studies, and IABP insertions. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Graduate of accredited nursing program preferred. BSN preferred. Minimum of one year of Cath Lab experience is preferred. IABP, Angiojet and IVUS experience preferred. Knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and x-ray equipment preferred.
Current California RN license and BLS required. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire or status change. Basic dysrhythmia within 120 days of hire or status change. RCIS preferred.
Candidates must hold a current California RN license and BLS certification, with ACLS required within 90 days. A minimum of one year of Cath Lab experience and graduation from an accredited nursing program are preferred.
