The Monitor Tech is responsible for continuous observation of the cardiac rhythm of telemetry monitored patients in the assigned area. Provides immediate attention to any change in the monitor pattern and notifies the charge nurse or designee from the appropriate nursing unit.
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and basic computer skills. Must pass an arrhythmia exam (90%) within the three month introductory period.
Minimum of one year experience in a health related field.

BCLS required.
