The Medical Assistant provides compassionate, high-quality patient care by performing clinical workflows such as recording vital signs and preparing patients for providers. They also collect specimens, administer medications or vaccines, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care and make critical assessments! You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.To thrive in this vital role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.

Expectations

Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows. Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs, reviewing drug allergies and current medications, completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit. Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients. Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned. We are offering a Sign-on Bonus and Education Assistance to new hires that meet eligibility requirements. **If you are an EMT and are interested in this location please apply! Requirements

Required: Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP) Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited medical assisting program. Additionally, they must have completed a 40-hour Medication Aide course or hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
