About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides patient care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of nursing staff. These duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and the Department of Nursing philosophy.

Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Director and the direct supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides a variety of patient care activities across life span and accommodative services for assigned patients. These activities are carried out according to hospital policy, the hospital mission statement, and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION High school graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Experience in an accredited healthcare facility preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Certification in the State of Texas as a Nursing Assistant. American Heart Association BLS required. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES None. Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and hold a valid Texas Nursing Assistant certification. Additionally, American Heart Association BLS certification is required for the position.
