The Veterinary Technician will assist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and dentistry while monitoring hospitalized patients and anesthesia. They are also responsible for performing in-house diagnostics, documenting patient information, and educating pet owners on home care.

Fort Washington Veterinary Hospital of Flourtown is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working alongside a supportive, experienced team.   • In this role, you'll
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, dentistry, and medical procedures
  • Obtain laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
  • Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision
  • Monitor anesthesia and hospitalized patients
  • Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout their visit
  • Accurately document treatments and patient information
  • Educate pet owners on medications, home care, and preventive medicine
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment area
  • Support daily hospital operations while working closely with your teammates
  • What you bring
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital
  • Confidence handling and restraining companion animals safely
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and a collaborative approach to patient care
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Bonus skills
  • Experience monitoring anesthesia
  • Surgical or dental assisting experience
  • Familiarity with veterinary practice software
