Overview Registered Nurse - Med Surg (Travel) Bangor, Maine, United States Start date: 08/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,130-$2,240 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Shift: 3x12 Nights Setting: hospital-based medical-surgical travel assignment

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to medical-surgical patients under supervision
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and document accurately
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments; monitor telemetry as applicable and escalate changes to the care team
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
  • Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic medical record; support discharge planning and patient education
  • Uphold infection control practices and deliver care in alignment with professional standards and organizational policies

Requirements

  • Current Maine RN license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking abilities; able to work in a dynamic hospital setting
