The Nurse Residency Program A 12 month transition-to-practice program designed to provide new graduate nurses a comprehensive evidence-based curriculum to support new nurses to a competent level of practice. This program is supported by the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™ curriculum, as well as ongoing Memorial Hermann Clinical Development programs. We agree a healthy support system is the key to achieving success in a clinical curriculum, which is why our System Nurse Residency Program follows a cohort-focused model where you are able to grow and develop your nursing skills in a supportive setting. There is still a lot to learn after nursing school and we know finding a job and gaining hands-on experience can be overwhelming; our program is structured to help you develop in three critical areas: leadership, quality outcomes, and professional role.
Candidates must have completed an accredited nursing degree and hold a current Texas RN license or temporary permit. A GPA of 3.0 or higher and BLS certification from the American Heart Association are required.
Market context
In Texas, nursing roles like this often draw steady demand in dialysis and other patient-care settings because employers need licensed LVN/LPN candidates who can start safely and learn specialized workflows. These positions can be competitive when they require a current license, preferred dialysis experience, and completion of a training program soon after hire. Review the AI-summarized requirements and benefits here to save time, then confirm you meet the license, color-recognition, and training expectations before applying.
