North Star Diagnostic Imaging is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Denton, Texas. This is a full-time opportunity in a busy outpatient imaging center where you'll perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations while providing exceptional patient care. This position also offers an excellent opportunity to cross-train into CT or MRI for motivated candidates looking to expand their skills. Schedule Part-time 1-2 days per week, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No weekends or on-call
Current Texas Medical Board (MRT) General certification (Limited and Non-Certified not applicable) ARRT (R) certification Current CPR certification (preferred) Excellent patient care and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray examinations according to established protocols. Verify patient identity, review physician orders, and obtain appropriate patient history. Prepare and position patients while ensuring comfort, safety, and image quality. Educate patients about their exam and answer questions to provide an exceptional patient experience. Maintain accurate patient documentation in the RIS/PACS and EMR systems. Perform daily quality control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is operating safely and efficiently. Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and company procedures. Work collaboratively with radiologists, referring providers, and fellow team members to provide outstanding patient care. Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency. Cross-train into CT or MRI as opportunities become available. Assist with departmental workflow and other duties as assigned.
