The vascular neurologist will provide acute stroke care and vascular neurology consultations while supervising stroke team members. They will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and review clinical quality data.
Atlantic Health is looking to expand their neurology team and is seeking a physician to join the division of vascular neurology at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center.
The ideal candidate will also be part of the stroke service line and Atlantic Medical Group, reporting to the system medical director for neurology acute care and chair of home institution.
There may be both home/local hospital duties as well as stroke duties for the system.
Vascular neurologists are expected to be part of the acute stroke team (i.e., code strokes: either in-person and/or via telemedicine) and vascular neurology consult service team (for all non-emergent vascular consults for all inpatient vascular consults).
Stroke service currently is consultations only but may include primary stroke service in the future.
There may be outpatient clinic duties.
Vascular neurologists are expected to work closely with emergency medicine physicians, neurosurgeons, interventionalists, and neurointensivists, and guide and supervise stroke team members which include stroke APNs and PAs.
Vascular neurologists are expected to work collaboratively with the stroke coordinators and managers, review quality data and ensure best practice medicine for all our stroke patients.
Morristown Medical Center is the flagship academic medical institution of Atlantic Heath and one of the largest quaternary medical centers in the state of New Jersey.
Clinical academic appointments are available through Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Salary Range: $350,000–$450,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives

Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey. Completion of an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and board certification in vascular neurology are required.
