Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide patient care under the direct supervision of a physician, including assessing and diagnosing patients in the hospital. The position is based at Methodist University Hospital. Candidate must have strong communication skills to coordinate stroke care with Attendings, Fellows, Residents, and multidisciplinary providers throughout the patient journey. A qualified candidate will be able to effectively build and maintain patient relationships while staying within the required scope of practice and escalate to physicians as necessary.

Requirements

Education & Experience: Master's degree in Nursing and certification as a Nurse Practitioner required (must include Certification and prescriptive authority) Required State of Tennessee licensure is Required 3-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner Preferred
