About the role

The Medical Laboratory Tech II processes and tests laboratory specimens for patients of all ages while maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation. They are also responsible for reviewing and reporting lab results and completing departmental competencies.

Full-Time evenings

The Medical Laboratory Tech II is under the directions of the Medical Directors and management staff, processes and tests all types of laboratory specimens for all age groups from neonates to geriatric patients; reviews and reports lab results; performs operational duties, maintenance and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment. , Has advanced clinical and operational responsibilities in the department. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an associate degree from an accredited medical laboratory technician program or equivalent military training. A minimum of two years of experience and professional certification from an agency such as ASCP, NCA, or AMT is required.
