Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Pediatric Outpatient Clinic MedCare Pediatric is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our growing pediatric outpatient therapy team.

At MedCare Pediatric, we provide individualized, child-centered occupational therapy services in a supportive clinic-based environment.

As a COTA, you will work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on therapy that helps children develop fine motor skills, sensory processing skills, coordination, self-care abilities, and functional independence.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to provide comprehensive pediatric care.

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or eligible to obtain licensure by anticipated start date. Pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), sensory processing challenges, or neurological conditions is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Passion for working with children and supporting families. Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Responsibilities Provide individualized occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement treatment plans focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, visual-motor skills, coordination, strength, self-care skills, and independence. Assist children in achieving developmental milestones through engaging and age-appropriate therapeutic activities. Complete accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and patient progress. Communicate with families and caregivers regarding therapy goals and progress. Collaborate with Occupational Therapists and other members of the pediatric therapy team to ensure high-quality patient care. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and hold or be eligible for a Texas COTA license. Experience in pediatric occupational therapy is preferred, and strong communication and teamwork skills are required.
