Baptist Health is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at Baptist South in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift opportunity that requires participation in call rotation with a 45-minute response time. The Endoscopy team at Baptist South provides high-quality, patient-centered care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This is a new position created to support the continued growth of the department and the introduction of ION procedures. This role is ideal for a skilled nurse who is passionate about procedural nursing, patient advocacy, and caring for patients requiring a higher acuity of care. Registered Nurse Job Responsibilities: Provide patient care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Provide care and monitoring for critical patients requiring a higher acuity of care Coordinate and supervise care provided by supportive personnel Coordinate care with ancillary services to support safe and effective patient outcomes Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing individualized plans of care Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, procedures, treatments, and plans of care Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety, dignity, and satisfaction Participate in call rotation and respond within the required 45-minute response time Support the Endoscopy department's continued growth and the implementation of new ION procedures Registered Nurse Experience: Endoscopy or Procedural Nursing Experience (preferred) Experience caring for higher-acuity or critical care patients (preferred) Hospital or acute care nursing experience (preferred) Registered Nurse (RN) Education & Credential Requirements: Associate of Science in Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred) Licensed Registered Nurse (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (required) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred) Why Baptist Health?
