The Imaging Assistant is responsible for safely transporting patients and maintaining radiology supplies and equipment. They also ensure clinical areas are clean and assist with administrative tasks within the imaging department.

What you will do Transports bed, stretcher, and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens, and other materials within the facility Assists with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up Returns equipment to designated storage area and maintains transport equipment. Cleans, deodorizes, and disinfects equipment as needed Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed Adheres to Baptist Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements Attends meetings and in-services as required Maintains knowledge and skill level necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients age and status Responsible for professional growth.
Experience: None BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire Highly Preferred: Radiology Tech student with some educational/clinical experience
