Provide direct patient care and support to residents in a rehabilitation setting. Assist with daily living activities and monitor patient health status during night shifts.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care and support services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN). In this role, you'll assist patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety throughout their recovery journey. The CNA performs patient care duties within the scope of certification and hospital policies. This position does not administer medications or provide therapy and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Additional duties may be assigned based on department needs.

Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team Take and record vital signs as directed Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable patient environment Assist with patient transfers, repositioning, and ambulation Support patient safety and infection prevention practices Document care provided according to hospital policies Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality patient care
Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
Must hold a valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Ability to work night shifts on a PRN basis is required.
