The Certified Medication Aide is responsible for administering medication to residents and accurately recording dosages and administration times. They also monitor vital signs, observe resident reactions to medications, and assist with general resident needs.

Takes vital signs or observes residents to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions. Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
