The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) plays a critical clinical role, supporting high-quality patient care through advanced assisting functions and exceptional chairside support. In addition to performing all duties of a Dental Assistant, the EFDA is trained and authorized to complete expanded clinical functions. This position contributes directly to clinical efficiency, patient experience, and practice growth by supporting providers before, during, and after dental procedures while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and care delivery.
Candidates must hold an active Radiology License and EFDA certification consistent with state regulations. Previous experience in a general dental practice and proficiency with dental management software are required.
