About the role

Using your clinical expertise, you'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment plans, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, and help patients achieve the best possible healing outcomes. Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage wound care for a designated patient population, including assessments, treatments, education, and ongoing care planning. Prepare patients and assist providers with examinations, wound treatments, and minor procedures. Perform comprehensive wound assessments, obtain medical histories, administer treatments, and collect specimens as needed. Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, medications, and treatment plans while serving as a patient advocate. Coordinate patient care by scheduling tests, managing follow-up, and responding to patient inquiries. Collaborate with physicians, the Wound Care Center team, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality, coordinated care. Maintain compliance with nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and UnityPoint Health policies while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

Education: Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma from an RN program and possess a current Registered Nurse license in the primary state. Additionally, a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
