About the role

The technician will perform clinical duties including patient triage, diagnostic imaging, laboratory sample analysis, and surgical assistance. They are also responsible for managing hospitalized cases, administering medications, and communicating treatment plans to pet owners.

Company Description Pet accidents, illnesses, and injuries are all unfortunate and seem to always happen at the worst of times when primary care veterinarians are either closed or too busy to see the pet.

We are available for urgent care pet needs 7 days a week from 2 pm – 12 am midnight.

We’re looking to hire the most compassionate, experienced, and qualified LVMTs to ensure the highest quality of medicine is provided.

Our new building and state of the art equipment will provide our teams the space and tools they’ll need to deliver the best in service and medicine for our community!

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to: Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Qualifications

We're Looking For: A Licensed Veterinary Technician with an active license required, 1+ year professional experience preferred but not required Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts Availability to work some weekends Excellent client communication and medical record management skills Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and unwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinary setting.
