Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is looking for a Relief Veterinary Technician / Assistant to join our emergency team in Kalamazoo, MI.

What You'll Do Every shift brings something new.
As a Relief Veterinary Technician / Assistant, you'll: Assist veterinarians with emergency and critical care cases Perform patient triage and ongoing patient assessments Collect blood, urine, and other diagnostic samples Place and maintain IV catheters Administer medications and IV fluids accurately Monitor anesthesia and assist with emergency procedures Perform venipuncture and laboratory testing Obtain diagnostic radiographs Monitor hospitalized and ICU patients Calculate medication dosages and fluid rates Accurately document treatments and patient care Educate and communicate with pet owners during stressful situations Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment Support CPR efforts and other emergency life-saving procedures Work collaboratively with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care What We're Looking For You might be a great fit if you: Have experience as a Veterinary Technician / Assistant (emergency experience is a bonus!)
