Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
  • Produce images of internal body tissues to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer.
  • Ensure high-quality imaging through proper technique, patient positioning, and equipment settings.
  • Supervise and mentor ultrasound personnel; contribute to on-the-job training and competency development.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment; document findings and perform routine quality control as required.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and documentation standards; collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Current California licensure to practice ultrasound or eligibility to obtain licensure in California.
  • Certification in diagnostic ultrasound (e.g., ARDMS/ARRT or equivalent) preferred.
  • Prior ultrasound experience; demonstrated ability to perform a range of ultrasound procedures.
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting and follow physician-directed protocols.
  • Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
