About the role

Performs complete echocardiographic studies for inpatient and outpatient settings while accurately documenting patient data. Assists in the orientation and training of fellows, students, and visitors within the Echocardiography Laboratory.

Performs complete echocardiographic study integrating all patient data.

Document completely and accurately patient data through computer system.

Assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs is required.

Perform exams in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Availability for occasional on-call status, weekend and holiday coverage, and later shifts is mandatory.

Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to function independently.

Assists in the orientation and training of fellows, students, and visitors assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory.

Strong human relation and communication skills and consistently demonstrate sound judgment.

Requirements

Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI). Candidates must have completed an accredited program or possess at least 2 years of relevant cardiac sonographer experience.
