The Registered Dietitian is responsible for evaluating nutritional status, developing care plans, and providing medical nutrition therapy to pediatric pulmonology patients. They also participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, and staff.

Job Summary Responsible for providing nutrition care and education to patients and/or caregiver(s).
Evaluates patients' nutritional status, develop and implement care plans, assess nutrient requirements, recommends nutrition prescriptions, evaluates patient tolerance and effectiveness, as well as communicates information to physicians and other health care professionals.

Coordinates, reviews, plans, updates, and implements medical nutrition therapy to patients according to established policies and procedures.
Monitors patients receiving nutrition support.
Provide nutrition education to patients, caregivers, staff and community partners.
Serves as a preceptor for medical, dietetic and food service interns and/or clinical research.
Participates and serves on interdisciplinary team meetings, patient rounds, multidisciplinary committees and/or discharge planning.
Assist with performance and quality improvement projects.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements Education - Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Experience - No previous experience required In Lieu Of If hired on or prior to December 31, 2023, must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics AND Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses Registered Dietitian state licensure (i.e.: SC LLR) Registered Dietitian licensure from the CDR
