About the role

The Clinical Social Worker provides substance use disorder services, including comprehensive assessments, individual and group counseling, and contingency management. They coordinate care with mental health intensive case management programs while performing community outreach in various settings.

With general supervision from a licensed behavioral health clinician, the Clinical Social Worker I/II works within the Stimulant Treatment Outpatient Program (STOP) by providing substance use disorders services using evidence-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices adapted for adults with serious mental illness and high psychiatric and/or justice system involvement. The CSWI/II provides comprehensive assessment, group and individual counseling, contingency management, targeted case management, and community outreach in coordination with Citywide mental health intensive case management and psychiatric programs.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field and be registered or eligible for licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. At least one year of experience providing clinical or case management services to adults with serious mental illness or substance use disorders is required.
