The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) is a registered nurse who has advanced education and clinical preparation in forensic examination of victims of sexual assault. The SANE coordinates and performs the forensic examination for patients of all ages including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics including inmates. This individual collaborates with other medical professionals in developing, implementing, and the ongoing evaluation of an emergency service plan of care. Nursing care delivered with be in accordance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and the Ohio Department of Health Sexual Assault Protocol.
Casual; Hours: variable
All shifts will require every other weekend hours.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Ohio RN license and at least 6 months of experience. A BSN is required within three years of hire, and specialized training in sexual assault examination is preferred.
