About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care activities such as monitoring vital signs and assisting with activities of daily living under the supervision of an RN. They are also responsible for reporting changes in patient conditions and maintaining an orderly environment in patient rooms.

How you'll contribute

A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who excels in this role

Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output. It requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Assists patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.

Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.

Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean, and orderly.

Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

Provides quality patient care; works flexible shifts or units as needed.

Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Patient Populations Served

Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Protected Health Information Accessed

Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.

Exposure

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present for all employees.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.

What we're looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Oregon CNA License
  • Handle with Care preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

Schedule: 3X12s Days
