Covering night shifts (7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.) in the EMU ( extended care unit) part of advanced urgent care as an observational hospitalist
Provide overnight evaluation and management of patients in the EMU (extended monitoring unit) part of Advance Urgent Care (AUC) setting, utilizing evidence-based clinical pathways to determine the most appropriate level of care.
Assess patients for discharge, continued observation, hospital admission, or alternative care settings, including leveraging Advanced Care at Home (ACAH) and other post-acute resources when clinically appropriate.
Collaborate closely with Emergency Medicine physicians, hospitalists, consultants, nursing, case management, and ancillary services to coordinate timely, high-quality patient care and disposition.
Facilitate efficient patient throughput by coordinating diagnostic testing, specialty consultations, and transitions of care while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and patient experience.
Work independently overnight while partnering with the Hospital Medicine and Emergency Department teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.

The starting annual salary for this position is $280,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
