About the role

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic conditions. They will also participate in the multi-food oral immunotherapy program and act as a consultant to the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

A Brief Overview The Division of Allergy & Immunology is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team providing care to pediatric patients with allergic and immunologic conditions.

This NP will provide health care management and support to patients in the allergy department.

This position offers a blend of outpatient clinic responsibilities across primarily at the Newtown Square location with a plan to move to Bryn Mawr in the future and some time in the Buerger center.

In partnership with attending physicians, the Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care while supporting ongoing disease management for patients with allergic conditions.

The role also includes participation in our multi-food oral immunotherapy program desensitizing to food allergens.

The ideal candidate will have prior Nurse Practitioner experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and an interest in caring for patients with immunology conditions.

Experience with allergic disorders is preferred.

Pennsylvania licensure is required, and New Jersey licensure is preferred to allow telemedicine support.

What you will do Utilizes advanced assessment skills to manage a cohort of patients.

Performs and documents daily assessments.

Collects and analyzes data and formulates a family-centered plan of care.

Performs any needed advanced procedures that are listed in the Scope of Practice Document and approved as a part of the credentialing process.

Evaluates and monitors the effectiveness of the prescribed treatment plan.

Using the most current evidence, modifies the plan of care based on the effectiveness of the treatment and the patient/family response to the plan.

Serves as an educational resource to the patient/family, nursing staff, and provider team.

Acts as a consultant to multidisciplinary health care team members.

Participates in scholarly activities including research and education.

Participates in own professional development by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate educational offerings.

Participates in the professional development of others.

Acts as a preceptor and mentor to support the development of nurses, nurse practitioners, students, and other health care providers.

Demonstrates a commitment to patient safety by speaking up about safety issues and changing practice to enhance safety.

Shares errors or potential errors through system reporting mechanisms.

Demonstrates shared accountability for safe practice.

Education Qualifications Master's Degree Nursing - Required Skills and Abilities Ability to work in an inter-professional team setting with multiple responsibilities.

Ability to use computer and electronic medical records effectively.

Licenses and Certifications Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - upon hire - Required Prescriptive Authority (Pennsylvania) - Pennsylvania State Licensing Board - within 3 months - Required Specialty Certification - as a Nurse Practitioner in area of education/subspecialty. - upon hire - Required

Salary Range

$107,200.00 - $142,100.00 Annually Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Nursing and possess active Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner. Prior experience as a Nurse Practitioner and strong clinical assessment skills are required for this role.
