About the role

The Sleep Technologist is responsible for facilitating sleep tests, collecting data, and preparing equipment for patient use. They must also analyze clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Seeking Full time RPSGTs needed DUE TO GROWTH- additional pay per shift for attending/scoring productivity!

Pivotal Health is seeking an experienced RPSGT to work in our Wilmington NC sleep lab at Sleep Care of Wilmington (Novant Health). The position will provide sleep services on a as needed basis to facilitate MLSTs as needed.

Competitive hourly rates available, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

will include:

  • facilitating tests and collecting data
  • responsible for preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results
  • responsible for following proper polysomnographic procedures including the use of electrodes, sensors, calibration of equipment, and fitting of airway pressure masks
  • analysis (scoring) of clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulation of final data to be submitted for further review
  • required compliance with regulations and laws concerning safety control

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or higher education level
  • Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
  • Certified by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist "RPSGT" and NC Medical Board License
  • Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR
  • Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required

1. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

2. The employee is required to use his/her hands to operate office equipment.

3. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
