The Trapp Lab studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms of myelin formation, glial cell development, and axonal health in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
The lab investigates how myelin is damaged in diseases such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and other inherited myelin disorders, while exploring regenerative strategies using progenitor cells to repair damaged myelin.
This research aims to improve understanding of neurological disease and develop new treatments to reduce disability and improve patient outcomes.
As a Research Technician on our team, you will perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for assigned experimental studies, assist with establishing and scheduling analyses, conduct tests using a range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and assemble experimental results for review by research staff.
