About the role

The Medical Assistant will assist physicians with clinical treatments, patient interviews, and vital sign measurements. They are also responsible for maintaining treatment rooms, managing medical supplies, and performing basic clerical tasks.

  • Schedule: Part-time | Day Shift How you'll make an impact in this role Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Perform select clinical duties. Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing. Perform basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly environment. What minimum qualifications you'll need
  • Licensure /Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required: Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted. Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a BLS certification and a recognized Medical Assistant credential from organizations like the NHA, AMT, or AAMA. A high school diploma or one year of relevant experience is required, along with prior experience in OBGYN or Women's Health.
