The Advanced Practice Provider will coordinate patient care, assist surgeons in the operating room, and manage inpatient orthopedic admissions and discharges. They will also participate in daily rounding and contribute to the development of the pediatric orthopedic trauma program.
HealthPartners is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with PEDIATRIC experience to join our collegial practice providing trauma/inpatient orthopedic care primarily at our practices based at Children’s Minneapolis and Abbott Northwestern Hospitals.
This position will coordinate patient care and assist our surgeons in directing post operative care for our orthopedic patients including admissions and discharges. Additionally, this individual will assist in the operating room as First or Second Assist as needed including preparing grafts, closing incisions. Daily rounding with monthly weekend rounding and/or call responsibilities as assigned.
This position is part of a very collegial and supportive team including advanced practice providers, orthopedic surgeons and fellows. In addition to the clinical aspects of this position, this individual will be part of the development and growth of this program by building rapport with the established pediatric and pediatric subspecialty teams at Children’s.

Candidates must be certified and licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with the ability to treat both pediatric and adult patients. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of experience in orthopedic surgery and specific training in pediatric orthopedics.
