About the role

The occupational therapist organizes and conducts rehabilitation programs to restore and enhance patient performance. They direct patient participation in tasks to facilitate adaptation, productivity, and health maintenance.

Major responsibilities/Essential functions

Position Summary

Organizes and conducts occupational therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance, facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, diminish or correct pathology and to promote and maintain health.

Minimum Education

• Bachelor of Science degree from an AOTA approved school of Occupational Therapy.

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation

  • State Licensed
  • Eligible for Membership in the AOTA
  • Must adhere to Code of Ethics of the AOTA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of hire)
  • Assault Response Competency (ARC) (within 30 days of hire)
